What are the aids to success?
The hubs and institutions have implemented a series of complementary measures to support students in their studies and help them succeed:
- places to study and work (libraries, computer rooms, etc.);
- resource people (guidance, coaches, methodological support, etc.);
- online resources (online courses and exercises, virtual university, etc.);
- assisted and residential study periods;
- ...
In order to intensify this support and make it more effective, the list of services has been extended:
- mock exams;
- guided revision sessions;
- pre-assessment question-and-answer sessions;
- tutoring.
Each year, higher education institutions establish a strategic plan setting out the measures they wish to put in place to help students succeed, in particular :
- student support policy;
- specific measures to prevent failure;
- welcome, information, assessment, guidance and remediation policy measures.
Contact your institution to find out about the special arrangements available to you.
Please note that, from the 2022-2023 academic year, for first-year undergraduate students:
- January exams are no longer compulsory;
- students who have passed fewer than 30 credits are required to enrol in success support activities (success support activities are not included in the EAP, but may be credited).
