What will be my pathway in an adult education institution?
Your programme of study in an adult education institution has a few special features:
- The academic year runs from 1 September to 31 August.
- It is made up of periods of :
- classes, training and apprenticeships ;
- revision periods and examinations ;
- free time and holidays.
- There is no concept of blocks: each course, in each institution, has its own organisation chart made up of course units that can be taken in parallel or successively. These course units are made up of prerequisites and new learning.
- You design your programme for the year on the basis of :
- the capitalisation scheme for your planned studies ;
- your personal situation ;
- the recognition of your prior experience and learning ;
- the organisation of course units within the school.
You therefore have two options:
- follow the organisation proposed by the school ;
- personalise your programme (extend the length of your course).
