Students who are nationals of a country OUTSIDE of the European Union
Nationals of a country listed in appendix 1 of the circular issued by the ARES, enrolled in a study programme organised by a university in the French Community, are liable for higher tuition fees for the years 2023 to 2026.
Nationals of a country outside the European Unionwhose non-Belgian parents or legal guardians do not reside in Belgium, enrolled in a study programme organised by a university college or college of arts in the French Community, are liable for specific registration fees for the years 2023 to 2026.
Amount
The increased registration fee for students enrolled in a study programme organised by a university in the French Community is set at €2,505.
The specific registration fees for students enrolled in a study programme organised by a university college or arts college in the French Community are set at :
- for short higher education: €992
- for long first cycle higher education: €1,487
- for long second cycle higher education: €1,984
Exemption from increased tuition fees
Regular tuition fees for :
- Nationals of a country listed in appendix 2 or appendix 3 of the circular.
- OR nationals of a country listed in appendix 1 of the circular who meet one of the following conditions:
- hold a upper secondary education certificate (CESS) issued by a full-time secondary education institution or a French Community higher-education institution for social promotion, after at least two years of study in an institution of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation ;
- be the beneficiary of a grant awarded by Wallonie-Bruxelles International;
- enrolment in a postgraduate study programme ;
- enrolment in an AESS study programme.
Exemption from specific registration fees
Regular tuition fees for :
- Nationals of a country listed in appendix 2 of the circular.
- OR nationals belonging to one of the 13 categories listed in the circular.
