Advanced bachelor’s degree
This academic degree is obtained after successfully completing an initial bachelor's or master's course from among those authorised. It consists of a minimum of 60 credits.
Advanced bachelor's degrees are open to students holding:
- a bachelor's degree of the short type, a master's degree, an Upper Secondary Education Teacher Training diploma (Agrégé de l’Enseignement Secondaire Supérieur) or a certificate of pedagogical aptitude, according to the list defined and kept up to date by the Government, after consultation with the ARES;
- a diploma awarded in the Flemish or German-speaking Community or by the Royal Military School similar to a diploma defined in the above-mentioned list. It is up to the establishment to decide whether it considers a diploma to be similar;
- a foreign diploma recognised as equivalent to a diploma defined in the above-mentioned list;
- a foreign diploma that has been professionally recognised, granting a professional qualification corresponding to a diploma defined in the above-mentioned list.
If you do not hold one of these diplomas, you may ask the jury to recognise the knowledge and skills acquired through your professional experience. The jury will then have to award at least 180 credits.
